SplitSticks is the same Slingerland 4-piece '60s kit used for Popsticks, but played with HotRods? for a more laid-back and intimate sound - somewhere between the sound of brushes and regular sticks. Reduced velocity sampling means it uses minimal system resources. Close mic and room mic options give you scope to mix things up. Tracked through a '74 Neve desk, and as usual onto a nice thick roll of tape.
Multi-sampling: up to 24 velocity layers (see specific number of velocity layers under Sampling details below).
Instrument interface: with volume controls, mic layer balance, pan and tuning controls.
Mic layers: Room mics and closemics/overheads separately controlable.
MIDI Layout: switchable between Keyboard.GM and eKit/V-Drum layout.
Flexible output routing: "multi" mapping provided for flexible routing to your DAW
Sensitivity control: increase the sensitivity of the kit for more intricate and subtle performances or leave it set to full dynamic range for more agressive tracks.
Presets: for quickly changing sounds.
Compression: limit dynamics when using stereo mode.
