Installation

In the .syx file you will find ten presets made by me on Behringer Deepmind 12 synth.
For installing them you will need MIDI utility for your computer which can receive and transmit SysEx files. One example for MacOSX is “SysEx Librarian” and one for Windows PC is “MIDI OX”. Both are free.
After installing, patches will be located in first ten slots (1-10) of BANK H on your Deepmind.

Before installing make sure to back up your current Deepmind patches. Check page 29 of DeepMind 12 User Manual if you’re not familiar with this process.

Patches were made with 1.1.2 firmware, so make sure to have the latest version installed if you have any issues.

Exploration

In this video I tweak first eight patches, so you can use it as an inspiration or as a starting point for your own experiments. In descriptions you can find precise timing of each patch demonstration.

Patches have ambient/reversed/granular feeling inspired by sound design by Rival Consoles, Nils Frahm, Max Cooper. Of course with the touch of my own humble sonic experiments.

Personally, I like to use them in Hold Mode, except 3, 9 and 10 which supposed to be arpeggios.
