Tyler starts with a brief history of the CZ before digging into this unique model of Casio's classic synthesizer line. He then goes over how Phase Distortion Synthesis is somewhat similar to FM synthesis and even subtractive synthesis in practice, but covers the distinctions as well as what exactly is happening under the hood.
A detailed look at the front panel and all of its parameters is given, then it's on to the Synthesis section where you'll learn all about using the CZ V's phase distortion synthesis features.
