Henry Olonga – Roiher Ribbon R-One22 for Nebula 192 khz | 266.4 MB
英文简介:
This sampling is part of the Microphone Locker Series. These presets need to be combined with my various preamps to really shine. They sound harsh on their own as I used very transparent tools to sample them, but plug them ‘virtually’ into one of my preamps to get them to sound right. A bright mic needs a soft preamp like the E-M-EYE and a smoother mic like the ribbons I offer need perhaps the brighter pres like the TCS ( API ). Up to you to experiment but that is why having the full array of my preamps can turn this collection into a powerful sound sculpting arsenal.
This particular ribbon microphone has already become a modern classic, having the ability to take away that digital edge that is apparent especially in the high end. Layer on your tracks for that full vintage warmth that only the frequency response of a real mic can give. However the closer settings exhibit the proximity effect so do use an EQ or transparent filter to correct where appropriate. Sampled at three distances you should be able to have enough variety to use on a few choice instruments.
The Presets were made for simple mixing. Place your chosen distance and sample rate of choice before a preamp at the beginning of your signal path. These presets can radically change the timbre of your instruments. These microphones have been used with great success for recording guitar amplifiers. Also use on vocals to give them a more intimate rendition. Great on trumpets or saxophone as well. For amazingly believable pianos Place the 40 cm preset after a convolution reverb and then into your chosen Preamp.
This is a cutting edge library guaranteed to make your mixes sound less digital. You will be amazed at how someone had placed a sock over your digital files. Sampled at the highest sampling rate available to date in Nebula Libraries and delivered at that rate. Native 192 khz sampling and also 96 khz available. Designed to work best at 96 khz. This means you need to be patient as the libraries load and resample internally. Don’t worry, the quality will speak for itself. You will be amazed at the improved transient response.
This does make for large files – trust me I have tried to make them smaller and felt a small compromise in quality. So the kind of person who buys my libraries must be clear about one thing. This is superb quality that comes at a price – larger than usual files. HDD space is fairly affordable now so I hope I don’t punish your discs – it’s not intentional, really it isn’t. It’s just that I am in pursuit of the highest standards of quality. You will require lots of RAM, a very fast cpu and oodles of HDD space. Apart from that you should be good to go. If you have a slow PC then you may have to bounce down your files.
