This ableton live instrument rack allows you to generate production ready kick drums with efficient easy to use macros and a total of 90 internal samples to never run out of combinations!
N-KICK-GEN XT is the new overhaul to the previously released "N-KICK-GEN" rack and brings a bunch of new samples, new features and an improved workflow!
N-KICK-GEN XT allows you to create your own kick drum samples using 3 different drum layers: Transient(TRA), Body(BODY) and Top(TOP).
All three layers combined will result in a hard hitting, clean kick drum that will cut through your mix! N-KICK-GEN works by letting you cycle through 30 different transients, bodies and tops which will sum up to a finished kick drum!
Making Kick Drum Samples from scratch is a time consuming and sometimes tedious process! This rack streamlines that process down to its core components and offers you a handful of high quality drum layers to choose from!
N-KICK-GEN has a variety of extra settings to better mix and layer these three components, offers an additional EQ to further shape your kick drum and lets you finalize your drum sample with a compressor and transparent soft clipper!
FEATURES:
?Macro Variations: Lets you select 10 premade macro presets that i've made! You can create your own presets and save them as new macro variations by hitting the ''New'' button above the macro presets! Make sure to save the rack after you saved a new preset!
?Rand: This lets you randomize all 10 kick-gen macros! This essentially acts as a random kick drum generator with high usability as most of the pairups will sound good regardless of sample selection! You can save certain randomized kick drum macro presets under the Macro Variations as explained above this feature.
?TRA: Choose between 30 different Kick Transients.
?BODY: Choose between 30 different Kick Bodies.
?TOP: Choose between 30 different Kick Tops.
?TRA PITCH: Lets you frequency shift the transient sample.
?BODY PITCH: Lets you Pitch the Kicks Body. note that this will change the samples length as well depending on if you pitch up or down!
?TOP VOL: Adjusts the volume for the top layer. This is especially useful for a wider range of mixdowns and more trappy kick drums!
?BODY SHIFT: This lets you shift/fade-in the body in time! Use in combination with an Oscilloscope! Transients can vary in length (4-10ms) so the body needs to be adjusted accordingly! ?BODY SHIFT allows you to shift the sample away from the transient in order to get a cleaner sum!
?TOP SHIFT: This lets you shift/fade-in the top layer in time! Use in combination with an Oscilloscope! Transients can vary in length (4-10ms) so the body needs to be adjusted accordingly! ?BODY SHIFT allows you to shift the sample away from the transient in order to get a cleaner sum!
?TOP COMP: This lets you compress and reduce the rms of the top layer, resulting in a thicker seemingly louder top sample!
?TOP TIGHT: Lets you fade-out the top sample! This is very useful for tighter kick drums that do not need a big amount of top frequencies!
?COMP: Lets you compress the summed kick drum as a whole! this can be useful to glue all the different components together! Not that it can reduce the final output volume so try to compensate using the soft clip macro!
?SOFT CLIP: A transparent soft clipper which will let you saturate your drum sample to 0db! This is very useful if you want harder hitting dirtier drum samples! In combination with the EQ8 you can automatically saturate any frequencies directly into the soft clipper when boosting them!
