英文简介:
Sonic Faction is proud to introduce The Hatchet, a new virtual analog instrument that will destroy your notion of what a lead synth should sound like. At the Hatchet’s core is the legendary Arp Axxe synthesizer which has been meticulously multi-sampled and re-programmed in Ableton.
The result is a truly rich and warm sounding analog instrument that will take you back to the days of retro-synth bliss. On the surface, this synth is capable of blistering leads, smooth solos, wicked bass lines and cascading arpeggios - The Hatchet stays true to the original instrument’s parameters and capabilities. But dig deeper and you will find a flexible and ever-changing wonder-synth that is full of sonic surprises. Sonic Faction has upped the ante by adding a whole rack of distortion FX as well as reverb, delay, psuedo-side chaining, resonator and more.
The ARP Axxe is a monophonic analog synthesizer, created by ARP during the 1970s. The ARP Axxe has a single VCO (producing two different waveforms) that is passed through a basic low-pass filter and VCA.
Modulation can be applied to nearly every section of the synthesizer. Noteworthy is the addition of sample-and-hold and the ability to pass external audio through the filter (in the tradition of the Minimoog).
Three versions of the Axxe were manufactured, the last two containing orange silkscreening and a slightly modified case. The earliest units of the original version featured a copyright infringing version of a Moog filter - this is the one that Sonic Faction sampled for the Hatchet.
