In Level 5 we will cover this technique called Beat Jump, where along with the tools available in NI Traktor Pro, you can edit your tracks very efficiently and be able to remove unwanted parts of the track and make your listener remains interested in your playlist when you are performing!
Many DJ’s until this day, usually plays more than 5 minutes of track and also wait for the second break of a track to start their mixing… and that’s when Beat Jumping comes to the picture because it gives you the ability to play only the parts you want and at the same time you can keep the intro and ending beats of the track and still mix all your tracks together harmonically. (16 or 32 bars for in’s and out’s)
Nowadays with all the technology at our disposal… it’s easier than ever to mix two tracks together. So we can also use all this technology to achieve results that wouldn’t been possible a few years ago unless you were a super DJ with access to professional recording studio.
There are many DJ’s out there who feels that this new technology is not good or opens the doors to anyone to be able to mix. I think that just like any other competitive market works… these available tools will make good DJ’s seek new ideas and work harder then ever!
