Midnight Rumba delivers quintessential, sample-friendly elements of Cuba’s African-influenced genre Rumba. Originating in Nigeria and traveling the Atlantic, Rumba became one of Cuba’s most important genres, still very much alive in the Cuban music scene. For the Midnight Rumba sample pack, Tríbe Caríbe has worked with some of the top musicians of the genre, including Osain del Monte and Yaroldi Abreu, amongst others.

Leaning heavily into percussion and vocals, Midnight Rumba offers a variety of unique sounds ranging from the native African grooves of the Batas and Shekere, to more traditional instruments like Congas and Claves while rich vocal chants round out the pack. With a tempo ranging from 120 to 160 BPM, the pack is the perfect balance of Rumba’s Latin flavor mixed with its African origins.
