英文简介:
An practical and straight-forward course for anyone who wants to take their lead guitar playing to the next level.
In this course, you’re going to learn how to play all 7 of the modes on the guitar. If you’ve ever wanted to play all over the fret-board, improvise a killer guitar solo, or get better at playing single-note lines, then you’ll find that this course is what you’re looking for. The video lectures are direct and to-the-point so that you can start playing all of the modes as soon as possible. This isn’t an abstract or theoretical course, the point is to learn the modes and then get playing as soon as possible.
The whole reason that you’re looking at a course like this is that you want to take your playing to the next level, so at the end of each section you’ll be able to play/practice/solo using the forms that you have learned for each mode. Since everyone learns in a different way, you’ll not only have lifetime, unlimited access to the lecture videos, but you’ll have downloadable PDF files of the modes written out in guitar tablature.
The objective of this course is straight-forward. You’ll learn to play all 7 of the modes, and for each mode you’ll learn 2 different forms. One form will cover 2 octaves and the other form will cover 3 octave forms. All of these forms can be moved to different keys, and you’ll see in the course how to move them. If that seems a little technical, all it means is that if you want to play a D MIxolydian mode, or an A Lydian mode, or a G Ionian mode, or B-flat double-secret Dorian (ok, I made that last one up), you’ll be in great shape.
Even though the modes are often taught in music-theory classes, this isn’t really a music-theory course. There isn’t a lot of technical discussion in this course (don’t get me wrong, I love that kind of stuff, maybe even love it a little too much), and you’ll always have the option of asking a question or posting a discussion topic if you’re wondering about something. Really getting into the nitty-gritty of the theory is a great thing to do after learning to play the modes, and learning to hear what each mode really sounds like. By following the flow of the course as it goes from one mode to the next, you’ll be able to expand your horizons as a guitarist and musician.
We’ve all had the experience of being inspired by music, and that’s our goal as musicians, to make something and play something that inspires others (or maybe even impresses someone). Music seems magical in its seeming ability to transport us to other times/places, and it’s power to express things that can’t be said in words. How does that happen? Ultimately it’s a matter of combining creativity with practice and dedication. It’s also a matter of understanding the foundations of music and how the notes on your guitar relate to one another.
By working through the forms for all of the modes, you’ll open up all sorts of possibilities as you play the guitar and express yourself through music. An online video-based course is a great place for that because you’ll be able to watch and re-watch the lecture videos as many times as you’d like. Again, you can download PDF files with the guitar tablature for each of the mode forms, and as I mentioned, you can ask a question if there is something that you would like to know more about or if you need something clarified. Thanks for reading, I hope you’ll join me and start taking your guitar playing to the next level today.
